Effective September 12, 2026 · Version terms-2026-09-12.v2
These terms describe how YearWorks works today and what you can expect from it. They are written to be read. If something here isn’t what you expected, tell us through Contact YearWorks.
YearWorks is an invitation-only beta. Access is granted to the email address we invited and can be changed or withdrawn as the beta continues. Features can change, move, or be withdrawn, and we can’t promise uninterrupted availability. Plan your year with YearWorks, and keep your own copies of anything you would be sorry to lose; you can print a lesson or your calendar at any time.
YearWorks is for teachers and other school staff who are at least 18 years old and use it for their own instructional planning.
An account belongs to one teacher. Keep your sign-in details to yourself, don’t share your account or let others plan under it, and let us know if you think someone else has used it. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Lessons you write, notes you keep, resources you add, and the school calendar you upload remain yours. YearWorks does not claim ownership of them. You give us only the permission we need to run the service for you: to store your content, process it so plans and calendars work, show it back to you, and send it where you ask us to send it - for example, when you transfer a lesson to Google Classroom.
You can delete a year from inside YearWorks. To delete your account and everything in it, ask through Contact YearWorks and we will complete the deletion within 30 days, keeping only the limited records the law requires us to keep. Today YearWorks can print an individual lesson and print your calendar; there is no bulk export or other export tool. Keep your own copies of anything important to you.
YearWorks owns the service itself: its software, its pacing and scheduling logic, its course structures and sequencing, its original written guidance, its designs, its name, and its logo. Nothing here transfers those to you.
Please do not:
We may suspend or end access that is abusive, fraudulent, unauthorized, or in breach of these terms, and we may end the beta or any account, with notice where practical. You may stop using YearWorks at any time.
YearWorks proposes a plan. You decide. Review each plan, lesson, date, and change before you teach it, and adjust anything that does not fit your students, your school, or your course requirements. Nothing in YearWorks replaces your professional judgment or your school’s requirements.
YearWorks does not promise a particular pace, instructional result, exam score, evaluation result, employment outcome, or level of student achievement.
If you send us an idea, a bug report, or a suggestion, we may use it to improve YearWorks without owing you anything for it. We use feedback to improve YearWorks; we don’t sell it or publish it with your name attached.
YearWorks is built for planning, not for student records. Do not upload or enter personally identifiable student information: names, identifiers, grades, contact details, health or discipline records, or anything similar. Do not upload sensitive personal information about anyone. YearWorks makes no certification or compliance claim about student-records laws, and it is not designed to hold that data.
YearWorks is an independent teacher-planning service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the College Board. YearWorks does not own, license, or resell AP course frameworks, exam materials, or any other College Board content, and it makes no claim over them. Where the product refers to course units, topics, or exam dates, it does so to help you plan around published information.
YearWorks connects to services we do not control, such as Google Classroom, and may link to other sites. Their terms and privacy practices are their own, and we are not responsible for them or for what they do with information you send there.
What we collect and how long we keep it is described on the Privacy page. These terms don’t repeat it.
YearWorks is provided as it is, during the beta, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, YearWorks is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for lost data or lost time, arising from your use of the service, and our total liability is limited to the greater of $100 or the fees you paid to YearWorks in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts of the county of YearWorks’ principal place of business. Please write to us first; most things are resolved that way.
If these terms change substantively, we publish a new version with a new effective date and a new version identifier, and signed-in teachers are asked to accept the new version before continuing. This is version terms-2026-09-12.v2.
When you accept, YearWorks records your account, the Terms and Privacy versions you accepted, and the date and time. Earlier acceptances are kept and never overwritten.
